Ross Wood
I was born in 1975 in Buckie, a small fishing town in the North East of Scotland. During childhood I was interested in drawing, music and computers. I never learned a musical instrument.
I got my BA in Fine Art from the UHI Millennium Institute in Elgin before heading to Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art to get my BA (Hons), graduating in 2004.
Now I live in the West End of Glasgow, where I am part of Avocado Portraits.
As well as using a camera, I’m guilty of producing abstract digital paintings, via Photoshop, and mainly as a response to music. These are either printed via a metallic paper process, or on various films as part of a light installation.
